APF Collaborations

The APF has built its reputation as a locally and internationally recognized leader in phenomics research, demonstrated by a number of large-scale research collaborations that widen the research scope and accessibility of its research infrastructure.

The Australian Phenomics Network

The APF is a proud member of the Australian Phenomics Network (APN), a network of core infrastructure and services designed to facilitate the use of mouse models by the Australian and international researcher community. Established in 2007 with funding from the Australian Government’s National Collaborative Research Infrastructure Strategy (NCRIS) and with contributions from state governments, research institutions and the National Health and Medical Research Council (NHMRC), the APN brings together mouse production, strain storage and pathology capabilities. Visit the APN website for more information.

China-Australia Centre for Phenomics Research

In 2008, the APF partnered with the CAS Institute of Biophysics in Beijing to form the China-Australia Centre for Phenomics Research. Numerous scientific exchanges and research collaborations have emerged from this partnership, with membership expanding to include additional institutions from each of the partner nations.

Wellcome Trust

The APF has been a key supporter of the Wellcome Trust’s Immunity and Infection Genomics Consortium (IIGC). Since 2007 the APF has delivered hundreds of ENU mouse libraries, cryopreservation services, database and bioinformatic tools, genomics services and project management to the IIGC research teams in Canberra, Sydney, Melbourne, Oxford and Paris.
